The artists we work with

Annabelle Hulewicz

Annabelle is a ceramicist based in Hampshire, making one-off thrown ceramic works often with hand decorated elements. Her work ranges from functional but unique homewares to larger bespoke art pieces.

She is constantly inspired by her surroundings and enjoys drawing attention to the beauty in the details of our mundane every day.

The versatility of clay allows her to communicate her interpretations of the natural textures she observes onto the ceramic forms she makes. She collects found objects, both natural and man-made and transfers their textures directly onto the clay. Therefore, creating a connection between the ceramic piece and the place the inspiration was gathered.

Mustardhouse

Mustardhouse homewares are designed in South London by Deborah who has a background in fashion accessories and print design.

The Mustardhouse prints are inspired by mid century styling and patterns combined with a love of colour and mark making. The homewares collection has a modern feel with a nod towards playful and light-hearted retro styling. are designed and produced in the UK with eco friendly packaging.

My prints are inspired by retro patterns with a modern colourful twists and I also have a passion for mark making.

Rachel Entwistle

Rachel is a potter with a passion for simplicity in line, colour and shape who creates modern yet rustic tableware. Tactile, yet utterly beautiful, her cups, plates and bowls are designed to be handled, used and loved. Shades of blue, dusty pink and glossy white fuse together and are overlayed to create interesting and unusual effects.

Sixton

Matt & Jess are a husband and wife led team with a background in fashion. They’re based in Stockwell, near Brixton (hence the name, Sixton London).

Their ideas are Inspired by a love of colour and the area they live in; from local legend David Bowie to insects on display at the Hornimans museum, which sparked the idea for the insect pins and bug boxes.

The collections are designed in our studio in London and made in South Korea, Bangladesh, India and China - find out more about where we make our collection.

Most of our styles are hand finished here in London.

Aeyglom

The brand name - aeyglom - is a combination of the artists Thai nickname Aey and the word Glom, meaning circle – the shape and form often reflected in her work. Having spent her childhood in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she moved to the UK as a teenager and graduated with a BA in three-dimensional design, specialising in ceramics before starting her own small ceramics studio. Aey then spent a few years living in Parma, experiencing all the wonderful produce in this Italian foodie heartland. Inspiring her to create tableware that can be used to present food at its finest.

The Material

Aey loves working with porcelain, although she says it can be very challenging! She explains the material is very delicate and prone to mistakes, but the final finish is very smooth and has a luxurious feel.

Studio

The collection is designed and made in Aey’s garden studio at home in West Sussex. Each piece has been handmade in small batches, using an industrial technique called slip casting. This intricate process involves pouring liquid porcelain into plaster moulds to form a layer inside the mould, with time and patience, requiring careful handling and drying to prevent warping during firing. Each piece is cast with layers of both natural and coloured porcelain slip giving clean lines and bold colours. The individual pieces are carefully hand-finished, glazed inside and polished to give a soft tactile feel.
